  • please help!!

i had an issues about a month ago with my yamaha pro-v 150 hp motor. there was a buzzer for the oil that went on i brought it back slowly to shore and filled it with oil. two weeks later i took it out to make sure it was all set and the noise sounded but then stop. so i figured all was fine. this morning i went out to prep the boat for fishing and noticed oil just behind the motor head had made a little pool maybe 1/4 or 1/2 a quart and there was also oil on the ground. the oil looks to be coming out from where all the wires and hoses go into the motor head. it seems to come out when the battery in hooked up. if i unplug the battery it slows and eventully stops. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS NOT A CRACKED HEAD and tell me that it's the oil pump or something else.....

    thanks

There is an elect oil pump in boat oil tank thats transfer oil to engine tank, it should only be running if ignition key is on and oil level in engine oil tank is below top line on tank. You need to find oil leak, broken hose or tank overfilling.

after posting the problem i did some net surfing. i found a few other case of the exact issue with the exact yr and make. could this problem be the oil pump sensor and not a broken hose? the motor is tilted up now and its fine, if i tip it down the oil starts to come out of the lower carbs air intake....
