Fuel/water seperator install

Should i install the fuel water seperator between the tank and the bulb, or between the bulb and the motor? can i use quick disconnect fittings, or should i just use straight fittings. Thank you for your help, this site is great!

Put the filter between primer bulb and tank. You can install a quick disconnect at filter but a hose barb fitting is better.
