I just recently installed a Yamaha Digital Tach on my 06 yamaha 200 and the Total Engine hours option is not working. It will show "0" hours, then when you hit the mode button again it still says "0" hours and then when pressed a 3rd time it goes blank which it is supposed to do. Anybody have any idea why that function is not working. The RPM's work and so does the tilt gauge. Im confused? Any ideas? Thanks boats.net

The hour meter does not show tenths of an hour so you have to run engine for one hour before hour meter displays time. -
right, but isnt it supposed to show total engine hours on the motor? mine doesnt show anything but "0"Comment

No it doesn't get any information from engine it just uses an internal clock in tach to record operating hours.Comment
