High temp warning indacator

I just picked up a 2004 200 hp HDPI that is brand new. When I turn on the key the oil and water temp indicators blink. The oil goes out but the water temp does not. It does not sound the horn but it never goes out. I had a 2003 with the same setup and it did not do this. I also have the multi function gages. Is is ok for me to use the boat like this. The boat has never been in the water.

If it has 2005 gauges installed then it might be the wiring, have your dealer check gauge settings and harness setup
