Tach and wiring harness for F9.9

Grettings, I recently mounted my (new to me) F9.9 MLHD as a kicker. I have installed the remote control conversion kit. as well as throttle and shift controls. My question is...

Can I connect a Tachometer to this motor and if so, which Yamaha tachometers and wiring harnesses will work best in this application? If part numbers are available, that would be great. Also is a separate wiring harness necessary for a temp gauge, if so, which one? Thanks a million,

You can install an analog tach like Yamaha 6Y5-83540-14-00(set tach for 6 pole alternator). You would have to run a wire from Green wire at engine Lighting coil to green wire on tach, you would also have to install an on/off switch to yellow wire on tach to turn power off. Yamaha does not a water temp gauge for that motor but you can install an aftermarket gauge that has a bolt on sender that can bolted to cylinder head.
