yammie 85AE

Hi,
Can anyone tell me why i cannot see any sites that sell yammie parts older than 1984. My engine is a 85hp 688 L 85AE. I believe it started production in 1978 and ended in 1983. Fortunatly all parts required so far are shared by the newer 90hp model. But i am sur the time will come when i need a specific bit for that engine.

they werent sold in the states until '84

I am in the UK so i suppose the same most probably applies and all pre 84 must be imports.

But i would have thought that some where on the internet i could find parts?

Oh well, lets hope the 90hp is just the 84 bored out >
