  • How do I test a trim sender?

Not sure which one isnt working..
how do I test a trim sender?

is there a specific resistance value between the three wires?

    two coloured wires + black

This is in relation to a 1988 Yamaha 90 Outboard ETLG

    thanks

Sorry..I have no idea what that means...

What terminals should I connect to my ohm meter? and what kind of resistance values should I be getting?

The manual doesn't list the specs for trim sender but it should be like .8-1.2K between pink & black, and same between pink & orange.

i read this before a test and i think it was:
          Pink - Black: 360 - 540 Ohm
          Black - Orange: 800 - 1.200 Ohm
The resistance between pink and black should change gradually in the range!
