F150 Cylinder head repair.

I have just bought a 2005 F150TXRD that has had bearing failure of one of the top Camshaft bearings. The Cam bearing seat on the head is roughed up a fair bit as is the cam shaft. Does any body know if this is possible to weld and machine back to usable condition? Only one bearing housing is damaged. It is the head i am hoping to repair. Cam will get replaced..

Never tried it, Take it to a machine shop and let them look at it.

Power head repair.

No machine shop can or wants to do it. They all say just throw it out. Talk about disposable engines if one bearing failure results in a $2200 part completely failing. Does the new model have replaceable bearings on the Cams?
