Hi
Is it possible to convert a 3 cylinder 2-stroke Yamaha 40hp Autolube (model 6H4 40V 1995) to a 50hp just by switching to a set of 50hp carbs?
Seems too simple to be true. I would have thought the CDI ignition would need to be changed regards sparks and what about autolube ratio?
It's a manual start, trim and tilt engine. For the record it's in immaculate condition and runs well on my Zodiac Pro, however it would be nice to have a little extra power.
Any thoughts?
