4 stroke 90 timing belt squeal

I have a 2003 model and the timing belt is squealing at an idle. Has anyone heard of this? Should I be concerned about it?

A 2003 should still be under warranty, take it to your dealer and let them check out

Having same problem on 2004 F150. Problem developed at about 100 hrs. Dealer has replaced timing belt and tensioner pulley (2005 part) with some improvement. Still not as quiet as it was. Problem goes away at 1000 RPM. Have you had any success resolving your problem?

Hi. Completely different question: Just bought a F90 2004, w/o controls. Which 703 control is the correct one for this thing? There seems to be quite a few different 703s, and both push/pull to activate throttle.

I still havn't come across the belt squealing problem. On the 703 control box you need to order 703-48207-17-10 control box.
