New Yamaha Owner with some ??

Hey ,

First off there is tons of great info on this site.
I got a great deal on a 2000 4-stroke 100hp (injected) but have only owed merc optimax any info, advice,experience with these motors would be greatly appreciated. Only thing II have been told is change oil eveyr 100 hours due to unburned gas mixing in oil and thinning it.

Now the questions..
I need some side mount controls...what is compatible?
also does anyone know what kind of harness I need 10 pin or 7?
Finally what gauges should i get or need.

The 703 side mount control( part number 703-48207-17-10) comes with key switch and 16 ft 10 pin harness will work on that motor. The digital tach will give you all the main information you need including tach, hour meter, trim gauge, overheat and low oil pressure warning lights. Part numbers:
6Y5-8350T-82-00 Multifunction tach
68F-82553-70-00 Trim/Oil harness(connects to engine)
6Y5-83553-N0-00 Gauge power harness(connects to 703 control)
