Aux Battery Charging

I have dual Yamaha Outboard 200's, and I know the house battery is connected to the "AUX" battery lead of the Starboard engine. Its output is not enough to keep my house battery charged.

Whay is the AUX battery lead?

Why not rig the starting battery and house battery to charge togther with a switch?

Could I set up the second engine to also charge the house battery?

The newer 200hp motors have a battery isolator built in them which allows you to charge 2 batterys at once by way of the AUX lead. You could get another isolator lead(MAR-69JIS-0L-ED) and put on second engine.

So with this isolator both engines can charge the house battery at the same time? Thanks.

Yes you can as long you jumper wire across negitive post of batterys to tie togather.
