no power under a load
I have twin 96' 250hp saltwater series. one motor runs great, the other bougs down under a load,slow to make rpms. will only turn 2500rpms solo. It idles and revs up great with no load. but will turn up to 4000rpms with both motors under load. any ideas........

It sounds to me like a problem I have had in the past. the carbs were gummed up and the jets were clogged. just had to pull the jets and clean them.
When they get if only a couple of them are clogged then under no load conditions the working carbs will support but with load on there is not enough fuel.
could also be clogged fuel filter on the engine but normally if one is clogged then the other is dirty also. -
replaced the lp pumps, fixed the problem... thax...Comment
