my question is the outboard starts, runs fine, but will not run over 2,000 rpm
    no alarms,no buzzers,no red lights.
any possible solutions would be appreciated
    thank you!

Test the buzzer by turning key on and gronding pink wire at temp sensor on head. Check compression and ignition spark. May need carbs cleaned.

      2002 yamaha 50-ejrt 50/35 jet

removed the thermo switch pink lead with the switch on and grounded it to the block nothing happened.
took the remote control apart, removed the buzzer, yellow lead to negative battery terminal, pink lead to the positive terminal nothing happened so i put the yellow lead to positive and the pink lead to negative and the buzzer squealed loud. per seloc manual
      any other suggestions appreiceated !!!!

May have bad wire in main harness. Remove the oil level sensor from oil tank with key on, buzzer should sound with float at bottom.

Check your exhast tube coming out of the jet pump.It probably has a hole due to corrosion. The hole allows water to limit rpm's due to back pressure in the exhaust tube. Take it for what its worth, this could save you some time and expense.
