Water pump housing

I purchased new water pump kits for my 1992 txqr 200. The insert cartridge that came with kit has tabs at 90 degree angle instead of 180 degrees on the old one. The tabs do not allow the cartridge to sit flush in the water pump housing. My question is, is there an upgrade to either the housing or cartridge. My housing is the stock unit that came with the engine.

The water pump have changed over the years. 61A-W0078-A3-00 water pump kit should be the right kit for that motor as long as that is the original lower unit and it hasn't been replaced.
