Trouble with class action suits is that the consumers get a certificate worth maybe a hundred bucks towards their purchase of a new Yam with a sell price of $15,000.00.
The company gets new stuff sold by giving up the sleeves out of their vests in the form of certificates.
The lawyers reap their millions.
It is a win win situation. Just not for the consumer.

Maybe a long shot but possibly worth hiring a lawyer?
Of course his fee's would have to be if he win's or you'll get screwed twice...
There's plenty of documentation, it not like your the only one or just a few..
They usually have a free first time visit, short of some time, can't hurt...Scott

I'm all for a class action lawsuit! Just had to have my Yamaha 150 4 stroke on my charter boat totally rebuilt because of this and just today another one of our rental boats with the same motor went down with same problem. There definitely should've been some type of a recall for this problem. Anyone interested in getting a lawsuit together please message me.

I can't see any class action going anywhere on this issue, it's hardly a dangerous design flaw, Yamaha have replaced almost all of the affected parts as an extended warranty sort of thing, where exactly will a class action fit in? You might have a defective motor part, but why do you think you have to sue someone for it?
