The outer gasket on my ignition/kill switch panel has deteriorated and part of it became almost melted plastic/rubber. I removed the gasket (the switch works just fine). However, it seems that Yamaha requires me to buy a new panel ($150+) because they don't sell the gasket separately.
To my surprise, according to my dealer, this is not unusual which makes one wonder about yamaha's choice of materials...but that's the way it goes.
Is there a cheaper switch (golf cart, snow mobile, ....) that I could buy and just use that gasket on my 704 panel....or is there some way to get just the gasket from Yamaha?
