Would like to hear from those of you that have F150's... have you had any problems? I have 400 hours on mine and it runs like a clock. I heard someone say that the exhaust below their powerhead was slowly deteriorating - Have any of you heard anything like that?

    I've been burning between 2 & 3 gallons/hr ... it's incredible!

    f150 corrosion

    hello
i have a f150 used as a boat rentals, the engine is now about 1000 hours, i had to remove powerhead for blown base gasket, and like you said , the exhaust wall was corroded half of the thickness.
i talked about that with my local machine shop and he says these four strokes engines yamahas are corroding fast on the exhaust, usualy they last about 1500 1700 hours before going thru...
for me it should happened within 2 years, if he is right.
i already asked this question on this forum, aparently nobody news about that.

        Have a 2004 150 4 stroke with under 100 hundred hours.

Problem that I have is that it will smoke (blue) from the exhaust after starting some times. Very intermintent and has did this since purchasing in 2004.

Any ideas? Talked with alot of other owners and no one has had this problem.

        Lasy year of warranty!

Have a 150 that has been flawless until Jan. Alarm went off. Dealer found the counterbalance gear was shredded inside the crankcase. All the pieces clogged the oil screen causing oil starvation.

            hello
my good friend has this problem on his f150 2004, he asked the dealer and the answer was: store the boat with the engine a little bit on the angle instead of straight up, preblem solved , works prefect, no more smoke.
