tilt trim problems

i went fishing this morning and the trim worked fine till i got to putting the boat on trailer then it wouldn't go up and when i got home it worked again my question is how do you put fluid in it 1989 ---90 yamaha everything else is working fine electrical wise.

raise it up all the way, remove reservoir plug on right side(17mm wrench) and fill until full.
