ethanol problem?

have a 1999 sx200txrx gas tank got close to empty was running 3500 4000 rpm and started to bog down ,throttle response was terrible ,suspect water in tank. removed water seperater no water.removed drain plug from high pressure fuel pump and the fuel was green...is this ethanol in the gas becoming a problem?...is there an additive out there that is common? any help much apprciated..B

THAT is most likely your oil already mixed in....but you should check your vst hp filter.

Green? Most likely not the Ethanol doing that. What oil do you use? What color is it when you pour it in? Did you check the filters on the engine?
After putting in fresh fuel, did the engine respond favorably? Could be Water seperator should be swapped out.
You could also try running from an Auxilliary tank that is clean. Wouldn't rule out Ethanol causing some kind of science experiment in your yank. Do you use additives to the fuel?
