97 PRO V 150 hp

Speedo will not register. Ive blown the hose out from motor to dash and it works fine. I cant get the hose in the lower unit cleaned out.
Can i add a steel tube somewhere else and splice into the exsisting hose and make it work ?

first, try a small diameter drill bit by hand in the stainless tube at leading edge of lower unit to clear blockage. If you cant clear it then you can add a pitot tube at transom....i prefer them as they rarely clog.
