  • Tilt/Trim Throttle Switch

    Good afternoon,

I think the tilt/trim switch on my 2002 130HP is faulty. Simply, it will lower the motor without fail, but when attempting to raise it it seldom works. When it does work I have to hold the switch for 2 - 3 seconds before it activates the motor. The switch located on the motor itself works 100% of the time.

Also, is it necessary to lubricate the power trim arms? If so, what should I use for a lubricant?

    Thanks!

if you swap the blu and green under your throttles and have the reverse condition, yes the switch is faulty. some have succeessfully lubricated/cleaned them and fixed them.also when swapping check connections there also for corroison.
if you dont succeed in repairing it, you will find the best prices anywhere, here.

      Same Problem

Can you tell me if you have corrected the trim up problem? I have been experiencing the same problem from my trottle and bow trim switch. The switch on the moter works all the time. Thanks
