1999 c40trlx Yamaha 40 hp - Questions

Hi,

Does anyone know what the compression should be for this motor?

Also on the back of the carbs there is a fuel Enchrichment swith that says - Normal , Open or Off.

The owners manual really doesn't say too much about what it actually does. When I bought the motor is was set to open, I put it on normal. Can anyone elaborate on what this does?

The compression reading should be no more than 10 percent difference between cylinders. The red lever is for the choke. Normal is for auto choke, open is no choke and closed is constant choke.
