I have a 2005 Yamaha 50 hp outboard. Where the throttle cable connects to the engine has become frayed and I think is close to breaking. The reason they are frayed is because the cables have to always be picked up in order to access storage and the gas tank underneath them. I want to replace them and was wondering if this was a simple process. Also is there anything I could do to prevent the same thing from happening with new cables. Thanks, I just want to avoid getting robbed again by any mechanics.
