Plug Wires

Was looking at my plug wires recently on an '86 ProV 150, (they look original). Can the plug wires be changed without replacing the coils? If so, would you recommend going to some aftermarket supplier for a larger wire, say 7/8 mm? Thanks for the help.

P.S. Anyone know of any good aftermarket retail suppliers?

No the plug wires are not replaceable without replacing coil.
