50HP 2S PrimeStart/Choke Normal-Emerg/Open-Closed ???

Could somone please explain the 3 Positions of the Choke thing in front of the
50 HP TLR 2 Stroke.

Normal........I'm sure that is where it is supposed to be for Normal running/starting

Emergency/ Open........???

Closed..........???

Owners manual does not really explain...purpose etc.

Closed is always choking. Open is never choking and normal is auto, chokes when cold and opens when warm.
