alarm self test

When turning the key I get no beep for the alarm self test. If I ground the pink wire I get the constant buzz with the key on so the buzzer is functional. Any ideas where to start looking would be appreciated.

Yamaha does not have self test alarms, when you turn key you shouldn't get an alarm.

I've owned this engine since new and could have swore that there is at least a chirp when you first turn the key (which I am not getting anymore). It's been so long since I've run this boat so my memory could be foggy.

Alarm horn works (grounding pink wire).
