  • yamaha trim gauge wireing

Just purchased a new yamaha trim gauge (Ebay), looked to be the same as mine.

Block connector on new one is 4 spade mine is 4 plug.

My old one has 4 wires out the back ( setting aside the bulb leads )
    Orange/grey/pink/Yellow/black (black comes off to a Y).

New one has Yellow/Pink/Black (black comes off to a Y), again setting aside the bulb leads wich are blue and black.

I can fit it all up but still left with the grey and orange, does anybody know were they should go?

Based on the wires you mentioned the new gauge wont work on your motor. Your motor must has a 3 wire trim sender and the new gauge you got is for motors with 2 wire trim senders. Trim gauge and wiring have changed and it depends on what year your motor is.
