It will get to 2k rpms and shake like crazy and seems like it is running on 3 cylinders. Has anybody had this problem and how did you fix it. I looks like the spark cuts out a 2k rpm when I put the timing light on it on one side of the motor. The injection has been disabled an the float has been secured in the up position. I have read some posts which describe a safe mode. I think this is what is happening. What other things can I check? Thanks, Steve

It's probably going into rpm reduction(safe mode). Test the buzzer by connecting pink and black wire at temp sensor on top of cylinder head togather and turn key on. The buzzer should sound. If it doesn't then there is a problem with the buzzer. Overheat or low oil level will make it go into rpm reduction and sound the alarm. If you removed oil injection you may still have a sensor hooked up.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast. I would try to test the temp sensor however I looked on the motor and it seems to be missing. Do you know where the wires for the sensor are supposed to connect to? I just took the motor back after a long ordeal with a shop that rebuilt the engine. To make a long story short they rebuilt the motor, but could not get it running above 2k rpm, after 9 months I took it back. I have seen the temp sensor in the manual, but don't see one on the engine. Thanks Again.
Steve
