HELP! 2M yamalube oil vs 2S yamalube

Is there a real difference between the 2S (snowmobile) and the 2M (marine)two stroke oil. I was told that there isn't. The cost is more for 2M because extra tax is collected for the "Clean Water Act". I buy in bulk and have a 55 gallon barrel left over from snowmobiling which I no longer need. Can I burn this in my 2 stroke engines without harm? If someone knows the REAL difference please let me know.

I don't know anything about the snowmobile oil but the 2M is for 2 cycle water cooled engines and has additives for the marine environment.
