  • Bottom Paint Recomendation

I have a 2000 26 Regulator and I am getting ready to paint the bottom for the first time in a couple of years. Previously I have used Interlux ACT and it has held up very well. I did not paint the boat last season and there was no growth. Boat Paints have come a long way in the past few years and I was wondering if there was a newer paint that might give me some better performance at cruise. Any info would be much appreciated.

I use a single season ablative. Works great and contrary to its name, you can get more than a single season out of it

Been using Petit Ultima SR, a little expensive, but absolutely no growth. Just re-touch warn spots each season. Tip: get two different color paints. Put one color on first, then second color to cover. Each pullout, you can easily see where you need to re-touch. Have been doing this for 5 years. Half way thru 3 rd gallon overall.
