2004 F40 coughs just above idle

I have a 2004 f40 that ever since new it coughs once in a while just above idle. It has done this since it was new. Would this be something not sycronized right? I have less the 50 hours on it and dealer is telling me it got dirty carbs and wants to charge me to rebuild them. I have about 3 weeks left of my warenty and was wondering if this might be covered? Thanks Paul

Dirty carbs are not covered by warranty. If there is a defect in carb that would be covered.
