What year was my outboard made

I have a Yamaha 15hp outboard. I need to replace some gears. I am trying to get a repair manual but I am not sure what year the outboard was manufactured. The details on the plate are as follows:
Yamaha 15D
6N1 S 001379
Any help will be greatly appreciated
