New 50 TLR Initial Idle Dies ??

A new 50 TLR when starting will idle Ok, then quit. 2nd Re-Start same thing. 3rd start OK.

Is this possibility due to the 50:1 Break in Oil and Injection Oil dirtying the plugs or is the adjustment off.

I haven't looked at the mechanicals yet-no service manual either.


Suggestions ???

how long are you letting it warm up before putting in gear .i know these thermal valve systems are ### well let just i dont like them you have to let the motors warm up for 5 minutes or more on some systems

I guess I should have been more descriptive.

Engine dies while warming up, 2-3 times then it is OK.
