NEW vs. OLD Engines

Just curious, I have twin 1990's 200 hp prov carburated yamahas with 600 hours toatl run time. They run like the top and I've never had any issues. Does anyone know if the newer carburated engines are the same in fuel consumption and mechanical workings as the older ones? (I'm speaking in regards to the carburated versions). Thanks Tim

Yes they would basical the same. The Prov models do have a higher gear ratio and could result in different fuel compsumtion.
