Vented or Un-Vented Fuel Tank?

We're using our tank that we used on our 1990 15hp Johnson on our 25ELHP. The tank doesn't have the screw-type vent. We did change the nozzle to fit the yamaha. Does the 25 require a vented tank?

The Johnson/Evinrude tanks vented at hose connection, when you plug fuel hose to tank it should vent.

So we should be ok since we used the original connection at the tank.

Yes, if the tank is not venting then the engine will run out of gas in about 15 or 20 minutes.
