Remote Control- 8 hp high thrust

I have a 2003 (Model T8MHB) that I am using as a kicker. It is an 8 hp high thrust, rope start with tiller that I would like to convert to a remote control. I only need remote throttle and gear selection.
1) What parts do I need?
2) Will the tiller arm need to be removed?

You would need 60R-G8501-00-00 REMOTE CONT. ATTACHMENT ASSY. and 703-48207-17-10 REMOTE CONTROL ASSY (10P) AP PR WITH PT/T SW. Also would need 2 control cables MAR-CABLE-xx-SC ( replace the "xx" with the length of cable needed)

I could use a little clarification.

1) When I look up part number 703-48207-17-10 which is the control box, I noticed that it makes reference to a choke. Since I have the rope start I don't mind using the choke button on the motor. Before purchasing I just want to double check that this is the correct control box.
2) How do I determine the lenght of the 2 conrol cables? My boat is a 17' and the kicker is mounted on the transon on the port side.
3) Does the tiller arm need to be removed?
