2004 Yamaha 225HP oil filters

The Yamaha filter for my 2004 225HP is Yamaha part # 69J - 13440 - 00, and these filters cost $22.23 plus tax at the dealer.
Is there a safe/satisfactory after market filter available for this 225HP Yamaha? I found a FRAM 2814 ($10.99) that fits, but that filter is not as tall, so it obviously must have less internal filter surface area.
Any ideas?

Stick with Yamaha filter. Compare the cost of a filter to the cost of a new engine. Is it worth the $11 savings?

Whatever you feel like doing. Yamaha doesn't make oil filters, they contract with someone that does.
I don't think you can beat Mobil One filters.
