F 225 consumtion

I have a Yamaha f225 2004 txrd,it consumes more or less 2 gph on idle, does anybody knows if this is normal? If not what do you suggest to look for?

If it's a heavy load like a barge it may be normal, but I'm not sure I havn't monitored the GPH at idle for 2 hours. Maybe some of these guy's that ***** a lot could give you a better idea.
