My 200 hpdi started to sputter and loose power and will not hold a steady rpm above 1000 r's.It would go up and down on the rpm's. It finally stalled out. Starts, idles fine, then stalls. Could this be a racor problem? Has run flawless until now.

to rule out the fuel supply, use an auxillary tank. besides the seperator, could have a clogged tank vent.
if your high pressure filter hasnt been cleaned this year, then it should be done.
ensure your battery and connections are good. -
What color is the primary fuel filter there under the hood? It should be yellow, not brown. If it's brown change it.

Had the same problem some time ago. It was contaminated fuel. Pumped out tank and changed seperater. Now all is fine.Comment
