50 HP 4 Stroke Warning Buzzer

Got a question, about the heat sensor and low oil pressure sensor buzzer, on the F50TLR motor.
When the key is turned to the on position, is the buzzer suppose to sound off,until motor is started ?
I can turn the ignition key on, and then to the start position, motor will start, but never hear the buzzer go off.
This is a 2006 boat and motor,and I am not sure if the warning system is working.
Any infomation greatly appreciated!!

The buzzer will only sound if an overheat, low oil pressure condition occurs or if landyard cord if disconnected. It does not sound just by turning key on.
