Tachometer Trouble

My tachometer (1999 150 VMax) started by not tracking like it should and now it does not register anything at all. Not sure of where to start the troubleshooting. Any and all help appreciated.

Most of the time it's a bad tach. You can check for ac voltage at green wire at tach, you should get about 15 volts or more.
