I had the yamaha speedo/ fuel bar graph gauge removed since I had a bad sender and I put in a yamaha FMS gauge to see my fuel burn. I have a new centroid fuel sender so now I would like to put in the speedo/fuel bar gauge. I see several color coded wires hanging off of the back of the speedo and a black multi pin round connector. What hooks up where to get the Gps speed to show on the speedo and which wire is for the fuel (blue/white?)
Can I use one of the power wires to power the sender which requires a power source? If so then which one should I use the yellow(ignition?) or the red?
My FMS is connected to my Garmin network so it gets the speed from the NMEA. The speedo has the KM/H switch on the back not the old rubber plug.
Thanks!
