F150TLRD--F=4 stroke,150=150 HP, T=power trim and tilt, L=20 inch shaft, R=remote controls, D=bulit in 2005.
F150TXR--F=4 stroke, 150=150 HP, X=25 inch shaft, R=built in 1993. You sure your not missing a letter off of this one after the R. For a 150HP the R should represent remote controls. The letter following would indicate the year. I may be wrong but it just doesn't sound right.
Just did a little research. On the F150TXR. I believe it is a F150TXRD. F= 4 stroke, T= power trim and tilt, X= 25 inch shaft, R= Remote controls, D= built in 2005. If any ID numbers are other then that please let me know.
It's a apparently a 2006 F150TXR. So I saw some different model #s (TLRD), so I wanted to know the difference. The X seems to make sense. I was browsing all the dealer websites and some boats come with a 2006 F150TXR, and some come with a 2006 F150TLRD.
You think the Yamaha 150HP is a good choice? So far I've heard nothing but good things.
The F150 is an excellent motor. The TLRD is a 2005 20 inch shaft length. Starting in 2006 Yamaha dropped the last letter in model number which is the year code. The TXR could be a 2006 or 2007 motor with 25 inch shaft length, would need serial number to determine manufactured date.
Yamaha motors are fantastic. I've only exreienced one problem with mine and it was caused by contaminated gas that I purchased four days after a flood.
