Was riding in from 60 miles offshore last weekend and engine started to miss but still ran okay. Alarm never sounded. Since it was getting late and seas were getting rough I decided not to call Sea Tow. Got to the ramp and it shut off at idle. Started back up and loaded on trailer. Decided to pull plugs the next morning and salt water poured out of the number one piston. Compression test showed 60 on number one and 110-115 on all others. I immediately filled cylinder with oil and spun over a few times to work in. Taking to the shop tomorrow. Probably another hefty bill.
