150 HPDI prop removal

[1st grady]

New to me 2004 HPDI 150's. I do not see how to remove the prop nut. They have a black cap, pulled off easily, but then there is a ring surrounding the nut and assembly. Some type of clip is inside the ring but I was not able to remove the clip and ring. I just want to remove the prop for the winter. thanks

sounds like a prop lock. if you bought it used, call the last owner.
