I'm betting there are some feelings about this...
I'm in the process of a complete overhaul on an old 25 Yamaha. Do I need to replace the intake petals? I have not taken the intake manifold apart yet, no reason to think there is a problem there.
The reason for the overhaul was a blown head gasket, but that turned into a complete overhaul after countless broken head bolts and a small crack in the block while attempting to remove one of the broken bolts.
The only things that will not be changed out are the electricals, crankshaft and bearings. I had the block restored and have a new head (long story), will put in oversized pistons and rings and new needle bearings, I've put a rebuild kit into the carb.
Thanks for the input!!
