Winterizing 2006 90HP Yammie outboard

I'm looking for two answers, when fogging an engine do you fog through the cylenders or carbs?And when preping the fuel system do you or do,nt you run the engine until the carbs are dry?
Every foum has a different answer.(HELP)

If it's a 2 stroke then you need to fog through carbs in order to oil crank and rod bearings. When you spray oil into carbs on a 4 stroke the oil only goes into the combustion chamber(the crank and rods are lubed by the oil pan), so you fog a 4 stoke either way thru carbs or pulling plugs. As far as the running fuel out of carbs it seems to be different in each region. Here in south Florida the fuel will evaporate out of carbs and gum up carbs, if it's stored outside then we removed all fuel.
