Two marine mechs in my area up here in the northeast have told me not to fog a 4 stroke because you will ruin it? They said instead they run a remote tank of gas thru the engine with stabil and some other rust inhibitors etc...what you all think?

My dealer told me that that's what they do - run some gas with stabilizer and 2-cycle oil through it. I got the impression that is to save them time more than anything - they don't even have to take the cowling off. They told me to just squirt some fogging oil in the plug holes and turn the engine over.
But the owner's manual says, very clearly, to fog via the intake silencer. I can't figure what you would be harming by doing it, so I compromised by shooting a little fogging oil in there, and also pulling the plugs and putting it right into the cylinders.
