2001 T-8 Power Tilt Question

I had to replace the tilt motor because water had got into it. There is a fill screw on the side, but the question is do you fill with the motor up or down and do you fill it to the level of the fill screw. It says use Dexron II but they say it's been replaced by Dexron III. I need to know how to fill it properly. Thanks

tilt it all the way up, remove the plug and fill till it runs out. use a hydraulic fluid. its not that expensive.
